How I Post To ALL My Social Media Accounts

The other day I did a video showing you my first step on my journey to automate my social media posting.

Until the last few months I’ve been VERY anti social media software. I still am for the most part, but there are a few tools out there that are reputable and actually work.

Listen… You’ve got to be super careful what software you’re using to post to your social media accounts. If the developer/owner isn’t 100% following the rules for EACH of the social media sites they post to your posts may never get seen and you could even lose your account.

So I’ve preached and preached to stay away from them… PERIOD!

However I know a few that have great relationships with these social media companies and are following all the rules and regulations to a T!

If you missed that video you can see it at https://youtu.be/Rzo2Yv2hszk

In that video I told you guys I would do a bonus video if you wanted me to showing exactly how I use these two tools to make posts. You can use them for scheduling and everything. Imagine being able to sit down in ONE day and schedule ALL of your social media posts. You can. 🙂

You guys asked that I do this follow up video, so here it is!

I’m showing you my social media posting ritual for one off promotional posting. You can also schedule too, but in this video specifically I’m just showing how I post to all my social media channels for ONE niche.

Check it out, and if you have questions on how to do this please leave them in the comments at https://youtu.be/HLLhYp09hPY

There’s nothing for sale here. I’m just educating you guys on my NEW social media journey. To help me out on YouTube please like the video, subscribe to my channel, and/or share the videos for me. I’d REALLY appreciate it. Most of you stay pretty quiet, and it helps me be a better teacher when I hear from you, so let’s get more social. 🙂

Okay… That’s it for today. I’m working on a new “ready to go” tool for you guys, AND I have a new workshop I’ll be launching, so keep your eye on your email. We’re 10 days from the end of the first month of 2021 and there’s still so much to come!

7 Steps To Turning On Instagram Traffic For Your Online Business

Instagram is one of the Internet’s giants when it comes to traffic, and if you know how to use the site right you can get a ton of that traffic into your own business.

You can literally make that traffic flow to anything you want…

Your lead capture (squeeze) pages, sales pages, blog posts, affiliate links, and anything else you have that you want to put in front of people.

But let’s face it… You can’t just post “whatever” and get a ton of traffic. You have to know how to use Instagram and what you need to do so that you can get all of the traffic you possibly can.

Bottom line… If you’re not using Instagram correctly you are wasting your time! 😭

So today I want to give you a quick Instagram strategy that you can start using right now to funnel the traffic on Instagram into YOUR business.

Let’s go through this step-by-step…

Step 1: Know And Understand How Instagram Works

Now this step seems obvious, but I see a lot of people who are struggling with Instagram and their biggest problem is they don’t truly understand how Instagram works.

Yes it’s ANOTHER social media site, but every social media site works a bit different, and has different areas. With Instagram you have regular posts, Stories, Reels, and IGTV. You need to make sure that you understand the purpose of each of these areas and which ones you will use.

HINT: I highly recommend you use and get good at each area individually before you move on to a different area. Figure out just posting on Instagram first, then maybe move on to stories, and then IGTV, and finally Reels.

Once you understand how Instagram works and decided on what areas of it you will focus on then it’s time to move on to Step 2…

Step 2: Have An Optimized Profile

99% of the time when someone tells me they aren’t getting any traffic from Instagram, I go to their profile, and right away I see why. There profile isn’t optimized! You have to setup your Instagram profile correctly or you will NEVER see any traffic.

Here’s a quick run down of what you need to do with your account…

1. Make sure you’re using a Business Account.

2. Include keywords in the Name section. Use your main keyword here.

3. Make sure you username is your name or your brand/company name.

Hint: You should be using the same username on ALL social media sites for you/brand/company. Example: I use liztomey for my main marketing brand, and every account I have that’s my username.

4. Have a profile picture that is YOU or your logo.

5. Your bio needs to have a few things in it, and you have very little space to get it all in. Your main keyword, your main hashtag, exactly the solution you provide, and a strong call to action are all important. You’ve got to work to get this all in your little bio.

6. A link! This is going to be different for everyone and will depend on your strategy.

ALL of those things are important to your profile and of course there’s a lot more that goes into each thing, but those are the things that you need to focus on.

In the Instagram Traffic Takeover Workshop I cover optimizing your profile, so if you’d like to learn this important step make sure you grab a seat in this workshop at https://www.LearningIM.com/InstagramWorkshop

Step 3: Have A Hashtag Strategy

Hashtags are the #1 way people will find your posts on Instagram. You’ve got to know which ones to use, how many to use, when, where, and how often.

If you don’t have a complete hashtag strategy you will NEVER get traffic from Instagram. This is a vital piece of the puzzle, so make sure you get this down, and you continually work on it.

YES! Your hashtag strategy is always in development. 🙂

In the Instagram Traffic Takeover Workshop I show you my exact hashtag strategy and how you can develop your own from scratch. I developed this from lots of trial and error and it works really well! If you’d like to learn my strategy then come join me in this workshop at https://www.LearningIM.com/InstagramWorkshop

Step 4: Know And Understand Instagram Content

Now of course there’s only images and videos that can be posted to Instagram. You can add a caption with text, but people are on Instagram to SEE.

For my LizTomey.com brand I focus on motivational content, educational content, and bonding content.

I use image/video quotes, memes (images and videos), gorgeously designed graphics to promote my blog content and other money makers, pictures and videos of my daily life, etc.

And each piece of content has a goal!

Sometimes it’s to advertise something that makes me money. Sometimes it’s to allow my followers to get to know me, sometimes it’s content JUST to get more followers.

You need to decide what kind of content you will use and have a goal for every piece of content that you post on Instagram.

And, YES!, I do cover the different types of content, creating content, and what to use the different types of content for in the Instagram Traffic Takeover Workshop 🙂

Step 5: Use The RIGHT Automation Strategy

It’s only been in the last few months that I’ve started using automation in my Instagram traffic strategy.

Why?

Because Instagram cracked down big time on autoposting to their site. There are only certain companies who provide automation solutions and are authorized and comply with Instagram.

If you’re not using the right automation solution in the right way then you will never see much traffic from Instagram, AND even worse you could get banned totally.

Automation is the key to saving a ton of time on your Instagram strategy, but be very careful with using automation!

Step 6: Work Daily To Get Followers

This is the BIG thing. Your followers are where MOST of your traffic is going to come from and besides hashtags there are many other ways to get followers on Instagram.

The bad thing… Many of those ways get you “bad followers”. People who never interact with you and will never spend money in your business.

You want followers that like your content, comment on your content, come into your business, and spend money with you. I mean it’s great to have a ton of followers. That number looks great, but if it’s JUST a number then what is it doing for your business?

Nothing!

You want to use tactics that get you REAL followers that are going to do things to make you money! I have a whole arsenal of tactics I use and I’ll be sharing them all in the Instagram Traffic Takeover Workshop.

The main thing you need to understand is there are more tactics than just using hashtags to build a good strong following, AND you don’t have to have a HUGE following to get results!

Step 7: Have A Day To Day Instagram Plan

Last, but most importantly… Getting traffic from Instagram is NOT a set it and forget it kind of thing.

You have to work daily (even if it’s only 15-20 minutes) to keep getting traffic from Instagram.

Creating content, posting content, using your hashtag strategy, using other strategies to get more followers, interacting with your followers, are all things you will need to do, and by having a daily strategy you can get it all done quickly and in a way that keeps tons of traffic coming into your business.

Okay… So I kept this as short as possible and of course there’s a lot more that goes into each step, but at least this little guide will get you started on the right path and show you what you need to know to get started with getting traffic from Instagram.

If you’d like to learn every part of this, and see how I’m using Instagram to get traffic into my business so you can do the same thing I invite you to participate in my Instagram Traffic Takeover Workshop at https://www.LearningIM.com/InstagramWorkshop

I cover all 7 of these steps and more in this workshop (and MORE), and by the time you go through it (5 easy daily lessons) you will be an Instagram expert and have all the know how to use Instagram to create a never ending stream of traffic into your business!

The Traffic Stacking Method Revealed

I teach several different ways to get traffic. Having just ONE traffic method is dangerous. If something happens to that source you have ZERO traffic.

I use 3-5 different traffic tactics in my online businesses. Depending on the business and what I’m selling in it depends on what I use, but I always use 3-5 different traffic tactics. I call this “traffic stacking“…

Basically is what I do when I’m getting started with an online business I’ll pick ONE traffic tactic to start with. Get it working for me, and manage it.

Then I’ll add another one. Get it working for me, and manage it.

I keep repeating this until I have enough traffic to meet my income-goals.

Like I said, I call this traffic stacking and today I want to show you my Traffic Stacking Method.

It’s a short video and you’ll learn something very quickly that you can start doing right now to apply this in your online business.

Just watch the video below…

YouTube Is Cracking Down – Are You Next?

Over the last few weeks I’ve watched 3 different marketers post on Facebook that they have had their YouTube Channel shut down.

These are marketers I know, and have seen MANY of their videos. I truly don’t see where they are violating YouTubes community guidelines, but guess what? YouTube makes the rules and they can make them up as they go. Once your account has been shutdown it’s almost impossible to get it reinstated.

So you need to REALLY be watching what you’re doing on YouTube.

Make sure you have read their guidelines. You can see them at https://www.youtube.com/yt/about/policies/#community-guidelines

Break any of those rules and you’ll find your account shutdown! Or follow the rules and you can find yourself shut down… 🙁

So here’s my advice…

1. You need to treat all platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and the rest) you use a “fishing net“. Meaning they are specifically for you to use to bring in traffic to your site. Of course you want to create good content, that makes them come to your site, but keep your BEST stuff on YOUR site.

2. All of your content should point people to a lead capture page of some sort. Each piece of content needs to have a call to action in it to get people from the platforms you’re using onto your email list.

I hear people saying “email is dead“. Well I haven’t stopped making money and I rely on email marketing 100%!

3. Back up your content! Don’t just upload/post content and not have hard copies of it on YOUR computer. That way if your accounts ever DO get shutdown or the platform disappears then you still have your content. You can simply move to a new platform and start posting your content.

Hot Tip: You can create a spreadsheet, list all your content, why you posted it, and link to the actual file in your spreadsheet. This is also a great way to repurpose content.

I want your biggest takeaways from all of this to be this…

1. Follow the rules!

2. Make sure your content is bringing people to YOUR site.

3. Keep your content organized and backed up!

Hopefully things will calm down with YouTube. There are so many people using it, and it’s a great platform. They are just in a “crack down mode” right now, so be careful!

Social Media Marketing, Website Traffic

If you’re not using social media traffic you’re missing out on a MASSIVE stream of traffic.

With social media you have two options…

1. Do things to suck the free-traffic from it.

2. Use their paid advertising platforms to get the traffic from it.

I’ve just started my journey on the paid advertising platforms so I’ve been totally focusing on the free-traffic tactics. And that’s perfectly ok.

The paid advertising is for when you have a “complete offer” that you KNOW turns people into buyers and you want to put a ton of traffic to it. That’s my opinion on it anyway. I don’t like loosing money, so I don’t mess with paid traffic unless I know I have something that WILL make-me money.

Now before you get started with social media traffic don’t jump on every social media platform out there.

Pick 2-3 of the BIG ones and use them. Use them for 30 days and do all you’re supposed to do. Keep the ones that bring you traffic and dump the rest.

I use Facebook, YouTube (I actually got a high ticket customer the other day thanks to YouTube), and I’m now trying out Instagram and LinkedIn.

I have mastered getting traffic from Facebook, and it works REALLY well for ME.

I have mastered getting traffic from YouTube, and it works REALLY well for ME.

Now I’m trying the other two I just mentioned. This is what YOU need to do. Try them, see what works, and KEEP what works.

Don’t know how to get started?

Then I have something for you that’s really going to help you!

Kevin Fahey just came out with Volume 3 of his IM Checklists. This one is all about using social media.

http://www.IMWithLiz.com/SocialMediaChecklist

These are 30 checklists that Kevin personally uses in his 7 figure online business.

Each checklist comes in PDF format for easy printing, online spreadsheets, excel files, mind maps and even trello so you can share online with your team.

If you find yourself struggling to get the results with social media, these checklists give you a PROVEN roadmap to success and will help you get more followers, high engagement, and in return more traffic, leads, and sales.

I highly recommend these!

Okay that’s it for today. Tomorrow I’ll share some of my personal tutorials with you on how to use social media to get traffic so stay tuned!

Affiliate Marketing, Content Marketing, Website Traffic

This week we’re talking about content marketing!

If you’re not using content in your business to promote your affiliate links, your own products, your programs, etc you need to stop what you’re doing and listen up!

Creating content about my niche and putting it in front of my audience brings in LOADS of traffic for me, and we’re going to be talking about how I do it this week…

But… I run into a big problem with it ALL the time.

The problem?

Finding topics in my niches that people actually want to KNOW about.

If you just throw content out there people may or may not read it. But if you put content out there people WANT to read they will and then you can get your “stuff” in front of them.

If no one reads the content you’re NOT going to make any-money. Plain and simple…

So today I picked up Arun Chandran’s Content Creation Formula guide to help me with this issue.

http://www.IMWithLiz.com/ProductCreationFormula

Inside this guide he gives you 12 different ways to generate ideas for content that people actually want.

Just the very first one I was blown away by and had never heard of. I used it and got 6 different ideas for content I can create right now and use in my marketing.

If you’re struggling to find content that people actually want to read so you can promote your business to those people then I highly recommend you grab Arun’s guide, download it, and start using the resources he’s telling you about.

I just did and now have enough content ideas to use to create all the content I need this week for the topic I’ll be covering. 🙂 So easy!

Okay… That’s it for now. This week as I said I’m going to be talking to you about how to use content to promote your stuff, so make sure you grab the Content Creation Formula Guide so you’ll be able to have all your ideas for topics and can use what I’m going to be teaching you!

Content Marketing, Website Traffic

So before the term “content marketing” was being thrown around the Internet so much I was using it and not even knowing it was a “thing“. It just made since to me to create content, put it in front of people, and bring them to my site with a call to action.

And that’s basically what content marketing is…

Create content that your niche wants to know about, make sure that somewhere in the content there is a call to action to come to your site, and put it in front of them…

Easy right?

Well… It IS, but there are some things you need to know…

1. You’ve got to create content that people actually want to read/consume. If no one wants to read your content then why create it? They’re not going to read it and come to your site, so why waste your time? There are lots of ways to find out what the people in your niche want to know about.

SIDE NOTE: My good friend Arun Chandran has created a guide with 12 different resources you can use to find topics YOUR niche really wants to know about. It’s called the Content Creation Formula and you can see it at http://www.IMWithLiz.com/ProductCreationFormula

2. Your content has to be really really really… Did I say really? GOOD! You cannot just throw something together throw it out into the Interwebs and think people are going to crawl over themselves to view it.

You’ve got to grab their attention with a good headline, a cool graphic, a cool video intro (depending on what kind of content you’re creating), and then keep them consuming your content by keeping them engaged. If you’re not good at this find a professional to do it for you!

3. Have a strategy! If you create killer content and then just throw it on you blog again… People are not going to come running just to see what you’ve got for them. Ypu’ve got to have a strategy!

Example: I have a squeeze page at http://imwithliz.com/sp/ultimate-list If I want to use content marketing to get traffic to that page I need to sit down create 5-10 topics my niche wants to read about, decide what kind of content I want to create (blog posts, articles, graphics, videos, etc) for each of those topics, put a call to action in each piece of content, and then decide how I will distribut my content. I could put it on my blog and tweet about it, share it to Facebook (I have a lot of friends in my niche), use Facebook ads, upload it to YouTube (if it’s a video), upload it to graphics sites (if it’s a graphic), and the list goes on and on.

So all of this should give you a better understanding of content marketing, and the example above is exactly how I use it in my business. I’ll be talking more about creating killer content and how I distribute it in future posts, but for now you should have a better understanding of how it all works and what you need to do so that it actually works for you.

No crap content…

Have a call to action in ALL of your content…

Get it out there…

That’s it!

If you have comments or questions please leave them below…

Liz

P.S. Creating content that people actually want to know about and will actually consume is your first step. I mentioned above a killer resource called the Content Creation Formula from my friend Arun. It’s got 12 resources in it that you can use to find topics to create any kind of content around that you want. That’s where you need to start so make sure you pick this guide up before moving forward! >>> IMWithLiz.com/ProductCreationFormula

Having a JV page is absolutely vital to your product launch. It’s the page you create to tell potential affiliates about your launch and give them to tools they need to launch it.

I’ve created a complete video tutorial (just under an hour) where you can watch over my shoulder as I create a JV page from scratch. I’m of course using Optimize Press to create this page because I can use templates and I LOVE that!

All resources mentioned in this video and all resources about product launches can be found by clicking here.

Having an affiliate program has allowed me to build a business quicker than any other strategy I have ever used!

Since 1999 I have used an affiliate program in some form and have always made WAY more money with one than without one. It’s a strategy that has worked for YEARS for me now and although it does take some serious work to put it together and get it working it’s well worth it.

If you look at other successful marketers you will see an affiliate program behind their business. It really is the secret sauce to BIG success.

In the following webinar I covered how to get started with creating and running your own affiliate program. The strategies I talked about are not being taught anywhere else, so make sure you grab a pen and paper and take some notes!

If you have any questions please be sure to leave them in the comments section on this post.

Notes From Liz, Viral Marketing, Website Traffic

How I Became Liz Tomey

Update: I wrote this post several years ago, but it’s still relevant today. This STILL works and I highly recommend you get something and start taking some notes! 😉

Today, we’re finally going to start talking about viral marketing… YEAH! 🥳

I want to give you an education in viral marketing, and give you a plan that will allow you to use viral marketing the exact same way that I have to not only brand myself, but make a lot of money too.

Many have asked me what viral marketing is, and there are a ton of terms for it. I define viral marketing in this way…

Viral marketing is any action that you do for your business that will be duplicated by others.

So for example, when I give you a free report. That free report probably has my name and website name in it along with my affiliate links. When I give it to you, I tell you that you can give it away too. So you send it out to your list, and a few people from your list send it out to their list, and on and on. Or it just gets passed on from person to person.

That’s viral marketing, and there are several techniques that you can use, but there’s one technique that has built my business faster than you would believe.

Resale rights products…

Not buying them, but CREATING them!

So many people think these little gems are dead, but they are sooo wrong. This July (2016) marks my 12th anniversary in Internet marketing.

Edit: It’s now 2024 and I just celebrated 20 years with my online business and I’m still here using this technique so pay attention because it WORKS!

Most people think that I’ve been online for years and years, and that’s why my name is well known, but that’s not entirely true.

There’s people who have been doing this longer than me and no one knows who they are and they don’t make much money. It’s not your time you put in. It’s WHAT you put in…

The way that my name got all over the place, the way that my career took off, and the way that I immediately started making $1000’s of dollars a month in affiliate commissions was by creating my own resale rights products, and anyone can do the exact same thing that I have done.

I know that everyone isn’t a writer so I’m going to give a plan for the “do it yourselfer” and a plan for those who could outsource the whole thing.

Okay, for you do it yourself people…

Here is your step-by-step to creating your own resale rights product.

1. Find a topic to write your product on. Internet marketing forums, Facebook groups, etc. are the best place for this.

Note: If it’s a video or audio product, you’ll still need to pick a topic.

2. Write an outline for your product.

3. Take your outline and fill it in with content. Make sure and put your affiliate links in where you can.

4. Have graphics made for your product.

5. Polish your product up. If it’s an ebook put your ebook graphic in it, and make the formatting look nice. You can even use one of my products as an example if you would like.

6. Create your sales letter for your product, and make it into a web page.

7. Create a resellers package for your product. Again, you could use one of mine as an example. You can get my resale rights products from http://www.BigResaleRights.com (Note: I have sold that brand to someone else now. He’s selling many of my resale rights products and his own now too. I still highly recommend it.)

8. Upload your product and contact people who you know sell resale rights products, and give them your product to get it out there.

Yes, this sounds like a lot of work and it is, but by doing most of the work yourself, you can save a lot of money. However, this is SO powerful. If you do this at least once a month in no time, you’ll see an increase in money, and in your name recognition.

Now if you don’t know how to do any of the above, you have two choices….

Learn to do it or hire someone to do it.

So let’s look at this step-by-step and by price if you were to outsource doing this. I totally outsource resale rights product creation now, so it is do-able.

1. Find a topic to write your product on. Internet marketing forums are the best place for this.

2. Write an outline for your product.

Note: You’ll probably want to do this yourself also. All you need to do is find 10-15 points about your topic and put them in an understandable order. If it’s an audio product the person you outsource this to can just write it like an ebook and then read it. If its a video product, you may want to be a bit more specific about what you
want.

3. Take your outline and fill it in with content. Make sure and put your affiliate links in where you can.

Note: Now this you can outsource at places like Guru.com. Tell them what you want, how many pages you need it to be if it’s an
ebook. Audio and video products are going to be different.

Price: $100-$300

You can get ebooks done for about $5 a page on sites like Guru.com.

However… Just because it’s a resale rights product doesn’t mean it can be a crappy product, so make sure you give all the info about the topic that you can. Audio products are going to cost you a bit more, and video products even more.

4. Have graphics made for your product.

Note: In order for your product to compete with all the other resale rights products out there, you’re going to have to have graphics done. These graphics will consist of a header and footer for your sales page, and a graphic image of your product.

Price: $100

You can also find someone at the freelance sites I listed above to do your graphics, or you can just search the search engines.

5. Polish your product up. If it’s an ebook put your ebook graphic in it, and make the formatting look nice. You can even use one of my products as an example if you would like.

Note: Is what you could do here is hire someone to take your product, and polish it up. Send them over one of my resale rights packages and tell them you’re looking for your product to look similar to this. I really recommend you doing this though, so you can put your affiliate links in, and really give it your personal touch.

6. Create your sales letter for your product, and make it into a web page.

Note: I actually should have put this as two steps, because you’ll need to have someone write your copy for you, and then take that copy and make it into a sales page.

Having sales copy written can be VERY expensive, so you may want to buy a course on writing copy once you see the prices people charge for copy.

Price for copy: $250-$25,000+ (Yes, I’m serious.)
Price for sales page setup: $50-$100

7. Create a resellers package for your product. Again, you could use one of mine as an example.

Note: You could outsource this too. Just send your product, sales page, and graphics to someone, along with one of my packages and tell them you want it put together like I put mine together.

However, you could easily do this yourself.

Price: $50

8. Upload your product and contact people who you know sell resale rights products, and give them your product to get it out there.

Note: Your same person that did your sales page could create a download page for you, and get everything uploaded to your server for you.

Once you have this done, give your product away to those who can sell it for you, and tell them they can have it under the condition that they will direct people to your download page to download the product.

Why?

Well, if you make your download page a squeeze page, and tell them they have to give their email address to get the download link, you could also start building a list. Do this a few times, and you wont have to give your product to people. You’ll have your own list to market them to.

So with this technique, you could…

1. Make money off the affiliate links in your product.
2. Make a name for yourself.
3. Build a list

What more could you possibly ask for?

Resale rights products are the way that I have built my business so quickly and so profitably.

Okay, we’ve had a REALLY long talk about viral marketing and how to use resale rights products that you create to start using it in your business.

It all starts with that first product and then it snowballs as you keep creating resale rights products one after the other. Before you know it, you’ll have a ton of products out there with your name on them and driving traffic to anything and everything you want!

Have questions about what I’ve covered here? Just leave them in the comments below…
