Building An Online Business

What Is An Online Business Model And Why You Need One!

When you make the decision to start an online business sometimes you have an idea. More often than not though the idea to start an online business comes before you have an idea for the actual online business you want to start. You just simply know you want an online business and that’s it. So, for those of you looking for an online business I want to help you in your search. The best way to get an idea is to look at what online business models are already out there.

First, let’s define what a business model is. Dictionary.com defines a business model as: a design for the successful operation of a business, identifying revenue sources, customer base, products, and details of financing.

So, an online business model is the way you will run a certain online business. The things you will do to get it setup, how you will make money with it, how you will get people into it, etc.Click To Tweet

The first thing you need to do is start researching. If you go to Google and search for online business models you will find a lot of options. I recommend you start there and take notes of all the online business models that you find. If you come across one that you don’t know about, then Google it specifically. Spend some time researching it so you understand it.

For example, when I did this, I found “software as a service” and had no idea what that business model was, so I Googled it and within about 15 minutes I knew exactly what it was all about.

So, spend some time on Google, do your research, and make a list of any business models that sound interesting to you.

Hot Tip: You can also use sites like Flippa.com to find business models. Flippa.com is a site people use to sell their online businesses, but it’s a great research resource too. You may not want to buy an online business, but you can use the site to generate ideas for an online business.

I’m going to save you some time and give you a short list of general online business models right here. Again, if you don’t know what one of these is then do some research and see if it sounds good for you.

The Short List Of General Online Business Models

Affiliate Marketing
Digital Product Creator
Physical Product Creator
Freelancer
Dropshipping
Coach/Consultant
FBA (Fulfilled By Amazon)
Service Provider
Developer
Influencer

Now those are general business models and it’s by no means a complete list. For each of those there are several different business models you could choose. You’ll see this as you start doing some research.

For example, with affiliate marketing. You could create a content site, you could create a funnel, you could create a review site, etc. When you find a general business model that you have an interest in then you need to research and find the specific business model you want to use.

After you’ve done your research and you’ve made a big list of business model options, take each option, and write it on a piece of paper. Make a list of things you will need to do to get that business model setup and working for you. Remember Google is your friend, so you may have to research the setup and running processes for each business model on your list.

After you’ve done this exercise, I recommend that you step back, don’t think about it anymore for 24-48 hours. Let it all just marinate in your brain. Do anything except think about all of these business models you’ve just researched.

Then after 24-48 hours, you will come back and go through all of your pages of business models and notes and throw out any business models that you do not want to pursue. Really think on each one. I know you’ve put some time into researching each of these but throwing them away is a great exercise to do so that you just get it all out of your mind. You’re going to need that “brain space” to choose the business model you actually want to pursue!

Now, at this point you should have just a few business model notes left. Now it’s time to make your final choice on what business model you will pick. You can take your time and think on it, however, don’t let that keep you from making a decision. Also keep in mind that just because you pick a business model doesn’t mean you have to stick with it. Nothing is in stone. Yes, you might spend some time and money on getting a certain business model setup, but that’s all part of the learning process. You don’t have to stick with something you don’t like or want to do. You can always pick a different one if you’re not happy with what you’re doing. The flip side to that is you also don’t want to flip flop between business models. If you find yourself going through a couple and you keep starting over, you’re never going to get that end result which is actually having an online business that makes you money.

What I’ve given you here is a great exercise. It will allow you to thoroughly research different business models to help you make your decision on what business model to start. It will give you ideas for business models. And more importantly you’ll end up picking ONE business model to follow. This will keep you laser focused as long as you keep in mind that if it’s not related to your business model it doesn’t matter.

For example, if you’re going to start a blog and use affiliate marketing to make money with it. You don’t need to know anything that’s not related to that. You can cut through the noise by being very precise in what you give your attention to when you have a fully planned business model.

Hopefully this has given you a plan for how to get started finding your dream business model to get started with for your own online business. I have coaching programs for several different business models and would love to become your mentor and lead you through creating the business model of your dreams!

Email Marketing

7 Mistakes That Are Killing Your Email Results And Simple Ways To Fix Them

It’s a problem as old as old as email marketing itself: a poorly responding list. Sometimes marketers struggle to get clicks, they struggle to get people to open their emails, and they struggle to get readers to take definite action (such as purchasing a product).

Why does this happen?

There are actually quite few mistakes that can kill your results. Are you making one or more of these mistakes too?

Read on to find out…

Mistake 1. Setting Incorrect Expectations

From the very moment someone lands on your lead page or even reads the very first email you send, you should be telling them what to expect with regards to your list.

Specifically, this includes:

What kind of content they can expect to receive. Promos? Special discounts and other deals? “How to” instructional content? Freemiums? Curated content? Some combination of these? Whatever it is, let your readers know upfront what they get.

How often they’ll receive content. People don’t mind getting frequent content, as long as they know to expect it. However, what is a problem is if you email infrequently, such as less than once per week. If you don’t get in touch on a regular basis, your subscribers are going to forget about you. That means they’ll do business with your competitor who reaches out to them more frequently.

Related to this…

Mistake 2. Repurposing Your List

Some email marketers don’t see much of a response from their lists, so they repurpose it. In other words, they start sending content that violates their readers’ expectations. This is a mistake that will kill your results.

For example, maybe you’ve told your list they’ll receive “content and tips” once a week. But then you start hammering them with promos once a day.

Or maybe you have a bodybuilding list that started off focusing on specific lifts, but now focuses almost exclusively on nutrition. You’re likely to see your conversions drop, because current subscribers primarily signed up to get lifting info, not nutrition info.

So how do you fix this?

Obviously, the first step is to plan your list strategy carefully so that you don’t end up repurposing it midstream.

Secondly, if you DO make a major change, then warn your readers. Let them know what’s coming for a few weeks before you make the change. Be sure to also change your lead page and welcome emails to reflect these changes.

Mistake 3. Sending Untargeted Emails

There are actually two parts to this mistake:

The first part is making the mistake of simply not understanding what your market wants.

There are three ways to fix this mistake:

Do your market research. Find out what your market is already buying, and then put similar offers in front of them.

Survey your list. Find out what their problems are and find out what kinds of solutions they’re seeking.

Test your offers. If they don’t perform, find an offer that does produce high conversions with your list.

The second part is making the mistake of not segmenting your list.

You can fix this problem with these steps:

Separate your prospect lists from your customer lists.

Separate customer lists according to what they purchase.

Offer freemiums to your prospects to help you segment by their interests.

Once you have these micro-targeted lists, you’ll be better able to send out targeted content and offers that produce high conversion rates.

Next…

Mistake 4. Crafting Poor Subject Lines

Your subject lines can make or break the success of each email you send. If they’re boring, overhyped or irrelevant, people won’t even bother to open your email.

You can fix this mistake by applying these tips:

Offer a big benefit. Let readers know what’s in it for them if they open the email. (E.G., “Here’s the #1 way to get more traffic…”)

Don’t overhype. It’s okay to make a bold promise if you can deliver big-time within the email, but don’t exaggerate and hype things up. (Here’s an example of what NOT to do: “How To Make $1 million in 48 hours!”)

Use social proof. People are more likely to do something if others are doing it too. (E.G., “Find out why so many smart marketers love this app…”)

Next…

Mistake 5. Ignoring the Pre-Head

The pre-head is that little bit of text that is shown in the message preview, which is accessible before the recipient actually opens the email. If the subject line gets their attention, then they’ll often look at the preview. If the preview doesn’t hold their attention, they’re not going to bother opening the email to read the rest.

Point is, you need to make the first 100 characters of your email absolutely gripping. Tell a story. Present a big benefit. Build anticipation for what’s coming. Make people curious. In short, give people a compelling reason to open your email.

Mistake 6. Making The Email About You

One of the best ways to lose your readers’ attention is to make the email about you. It’s one thing to tell a relevant story about yourself, but it’s another thing entirely to make the entire email about you. When that happens, readers bail out. You can bet they won’t see your calls to action.

So how do you avoid or fix this mistake?

There’s actually a simple “quick and easy” way to ensure you’re making your email about your readers and not yourself. Simply take a look at how many times you use words like “you” versus how many times you use words like “I” or “me.”

HINT: You should use the word “you” MUCH more frequently than words like “I” or “me.” You should be using the word “you” about three times more often than self-referential words.

And finally…

Mistake 7. Offering a Weak Call to Action

Your subscribers can be hooked and engaged throughout your entire email, but you can still blow it at the end by offering a weak call to action (or, worse yet, NO call to action).

You see, people don’t click on a button or link just because it’s right in front of their face.

You need to do two things:

#1: tell them specifically to click on that link.

#2: give them a good reason to click now.

For example: “Click here now to take advantage of this special 50% off pricing – but hurry, this offer ends tomorrow!”

Okay so those are the basic mistakes… I’m sure there are a ton more. 😉

Did you discover that you’re making one or more of the mistakes you just learned about? The good news is that you also learned how to fix these mistakes or avoid them altogether. You can even use this as a checklist of mistakes to avoid the next time you send out an email. Here’s to better conversion rates!

Website Traffic

6 Old Website Traffic Tactics That Still Work

January 1, 1983, is considered the official birthday of the Internet, but it didn’t become popular until the mid to late 90s. At the time of this writing, it’s 2022, so we can safely say for over 25 years now people have been using the Internet mostly as it’s seen today. I bet your mind instantly started making that old “dial up” internet connection noise and you cringed. If you don’t know what I’m talking about be thankful for your youth.

As soon as the Internet became mainstream advertising tactics on it began, and since then we have come a very long way. It’s said that banner ads were the first form of Internet ads, but I remember the days of classified ad sites and message boards that predate banner ads, so I’m going to say these were the first forms of advertising. And while a lot of things have changed with technology there are still some “old ways” of advertising that still work to this day, and I highly recommend that you incorporate them into your business. I mean if it’s not broke, don’t fix it, right?

Here's a list of 6 'old' traffic tactics that you can use to advertise your business and drive traffic into itClick To Tweet:

1. Banner Ads – The first banner ad started in 1994 when AT&T paid HotWire a whopping $30,000 to place banner ads on their site for 3 months. They got a clickthrough rate of 44%. To put that into perspective the industry standard clickthrough rate is now .06% Now banner ads are called display ads and can be bought in a variety of ways but using media buying techniques are the best way to go about getting your banners on popular websites.

2. PPC Advertising – In 1996 pay-per-click (PPC) advertising hit the Internet from Planet Oasis. Today PPC advertising has totally changed and there are various ways to do it. All the way from search ads to social ads you can jump into PPC advertising in many different ways. Some studies even show it’s the best kind of advertising because the visitor is already coming to your website out of direct interest. They are seeing your ad, they are interested, and they are coming to your website with interest. Either way after being around for 26 years it’s definitely not a tactic to ignore.

3. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) – And then came 1997 when SEO was first used as a term, and SEO has probably changed more than any other tactic I have listed here. We went from “stuffing” a bunch of popular keyword phrases (even if they weren’t relevant) and enjoying a ton of traffic to now the most complex system for grabbing (and trying to keep) the coveted top spots in the search engines.

Today SEO works by creating a strategy for your business and consistently implementing that strategy. Things like keyword research to find the correct keywords that will allow you to meet the business goals you have setup. Creating content that your audience and the search engines love. Along with many other components thrown in there. SEO is here to stay and it’s a tactic I recommend if you’re not in a super competitive niche or if you’re in a position to outsource your SEO tactics. With the way search engine are constantly changing SEO can be a full-time job!

4. Affiliate Program Marketing – A lot of people get affiliate marketing confused with affiliate program marketing. While it takes affiliate marketers to make your affiliate program work, affiliate program marketing is where you setup an affiliate program for your business, recruit affiliates, and have them market your products/services for you in exchange for a commission.

William J. Tobin is credited with starting the very first affiliate program in 1989 where he setup an affiliate program for his PC Flowers and Gifts store. It had 2500 affiliates by 1996 and was generating millions in sales every year.

Today affiliate programs are everywhere and it’s an amazing tactic to implement into your business to get loads of traffic and sales from the millions of affiliate marketers that are out there. If you have your own products/services that you can pay others a commission on, then this is definitely a tactic not to skip!

5. Email Advertising – There’s a story that says a man named Gary Thuerk sent an email to 400 people in 1978 for his company’s computers and it resulted in 13 million dollars in sales. So, 1978 had email? I don’t know, but it’s a great story, right?

The facts are though that advertising via email (either to your own list or by buying email advertising) has worked for a very long time and it’s something you should definitely be using in your business in a variety of ways.

Over time things like buying email lists, actual SPAMMING people, and a ton of other tactics have popped up, but the best thing to do now is create a list building strategy to build your own list and use email marketing to meet your business goals which vary in many different ways depending on your business. The bottom line though is email advertising using today’s standards and strategies works!

6. Communities – “Back in the day” we had message boards and chat groups that we would use to communicate with others. I can’t tell you how many friends and relationships I built in those communities. Supposedly the first message board was created in 1978. 1978 again? I thought the birth of the Internet was in 1983? Anyway, then came forums and they allowed for even bigger communities to develop. In the early 2000s forums were gaining popularity and business owners/marketers were using them to get a lot of targeted traffic into their businesses.

Fast forward to now and the communities we access are different (think social media and communities that you can create), but it’s still a tactic that works great to drive traffic if done correctly.

Okay, so now you have 6 different tactics, their back history, and how you can use them today. I hope you’ve enjoyed this trip down memory lane, but I especially hope this has opened your eyes to tried and tested website traffic tactics that have worked for decades and still do. When you’re deciding on traffic tactics that you want to implement in your business we can sometimes get lost in the latest and greatest tactics that often only work short term. Have at least 1-2 “old tactics” in your marketing arsenal to ensure you’re putting your efforts into tactics that actually work!

How I’m Using PLR This Week – Juicy Details!

If you’ve been on my list for any amount of time, you’ll know I’m completely obsessed with PLR content. I spend thousands upon thousands of dollars a year buying PLR content.

Why?

Well besides feeding my addiction to it, I actually use it and make a lot of-money doing so.

Now most people take a PLR product, use it as is, put an order button on it and expect the sales to roll in. That’s NOT how it works.

OR…

They take it and use it as is for content for their sites. That’s NOT how it works either.

You’ve got to change it up a bit and make it fit YOUR audience and YOUR voice.

Now for the last few weeks I’ve been getting in my groove here with my transition to living in Mexico. Taking PLR content and creating some products for one of my niches and using it to create content for those niches has really helped me get back into the groove of working.

I’m telling you this because if you feel yourself being a little “scatter brained” it might help you to fish out some PLR content and make a plan what to do with it, and then actually do it.

I have a little PDF I created showing you how YOU can profit from every single PLR package you ever buy. You can get it for free at https://todayinplr.com/make-money-with-plr

I highly recommend that you download it, read it, print it out, and then DO what I tell you to do in that PDF.

This shows you EXACTLY how I make-money from EVERY PLR package I buy!

Pick this up so you can do the SAME thing!

Over the next few days I’ll be sharing some killer PLR resources with you that I absolutely love and plans on what I’ll be doing with them!

Email Marketing

15 Ways To Get More Clicks Within Your Emails!

I have a question for you… Humor me for a minute. 🙂

Why do you send emails to your list?

Because you want them to take some specific action, such as clicking on a link.

Right? Duh,  Liz! 🙂

But, if you’ve already started up your email list, then you know that subscribers don’t tend to do a lot of clicking. Sometimes they don’t click on the links in your emails. And let’s be honest: sometimes they don’t even bother clicking on your email itself to open it.

🙁

The good news is that you can turn that all around starting today by taking a look at these 15 ways to get more clicks in your email campaigns.

1. Use Images

Big walls of text are boring. You can break up the content by using images. Not only does this make your email more aesthetically pleasing, a well-placed image can also draw your reader’s eyes into the content.

Check out these tips for using images effectively:

Use simple images. Busy images are a turn off, as the viewer doesn’t know what to focus on. Use simple images, such as an image with one or two people or objects

Show happy people. If you’re using images of people, show happy people who are looking at the camera. Alternatively, the people in the photo should be looking in the direction of the text. That’s because your reader’s eyes tend to naturally follow where the subject of a photo is looking.

Place images near important text. This draws the reader’s eyes back into the content.

Next…

2. Write Enticing Subject Lines

We’ve talked about getting people to open your emails using subject lines, but  you can’t get anyone to click on the links within your email if they don’t open it! If your subject line doesn’t capture your subscribers’ attention, then they’re not even going to bother opening your email.

Check out these tips for writing enticing subject lines:

Present a benefit. Let readers know what’s in it for them if they open your email. For example: “Eat this yummy food to lose weight…”

Ask an intriguing question. For example, “Are you making these deadly copywriting mistakes?”

Keep it short. Some mobile phones cut subject lines to as few as 25 characters, while other email clients cut them off at around 50-60 characters. So be sure to get the gist of your headline in the first few words to get the click.

Next…

3. Arouse Curiosity

You can use this tactic in three ways:

1. Arouse curiosity in your subject line to boost your open rate. Example: “Do you know this copywriting secret?”

2. Arouse curiosity in the beginning of your email to keep people reading. Example: “In just moments you’ll discover the #1 way to increase your golf drive by 25 yards!”

3. Arouse curiosity near your call to action to get the click. Example: “Find out what million dollar marketers know about creating six-figure product launches. Click here to discover these secrets now for yourself!”

Here’s the next tip…

4. Offer More Information

The idea here is to simply offer something very valuable to your readers, and then offer them more (as a paid product). This valuable thing might be a free report, an app, a checklist, a gear list or even just a really good article.

For example:

“Now that you’ve seen the exact checklist I use to get my membership sites up and running, you’ll want to get your hands on my complete profitable site system. Click here to check it out…”

This will get them clicking for MORE!

5. Segment Your List

The idea here is to create targeted segments of your list so that you can send out targeted content and ads to these specific segments. The more targeted your emails, the more clicks you’ll get.

For example: let’s suppose you have a dog training list. If you segment this list into obedience training, trick training and agility training, you’ll get a much higher conversion rate.

Here are three ways to segment your list:

Send your existing subscribers to another lead page. Each lead page you correct should correspond to a specific segment of your list.

Segment your lists according to what they buy. For example, if someone purchases a book on a particular topic, then you can add them to a customer list that’s targeted to this topic.

Get subscribers to tell you what interests them. You can ask them to simply place a checkmark next to topics that interest them at the time they’re first joining your list, and then segment your list according to interests.

Next…

6. Format for Easy Readability

Here’s the long and short of it: if your email looks hard to read, people will bail on you.

So format for easy readability using these tips:

Use short words, sentences and paragraphs. This creates a lot of white space, and makes it easy for readers to jump in.

Don’t write at a college level. Instead, make it easily consumable for the average reader. What you’re reading right now is an example of making your writing accessible.

Use a conversational tone. A friendly tone and entertaining comment will keep people reading.

Next…

7. Send a Series of Emails

People rarely buy something the first time they come in contact with it. That’s why you can boost your clicks and conversions by sending a series of emails that all promote the same offer.

For example, create a three-part series called, “The Three Secrets of Selling Your Home Fast.” Each email would explain one secret, as well as provide a link to a related product.

8. Focus on a Single Call to Action

The point is, each email should focus on ONE primary purpose. If you ask people to click on multiple links for multiple offers, your conversion rate will drop. That’s why each email you send should focus on one link and call to action.

However…

9. Include Your Link and CTA More Than Once

Even though each email focuses on one call to action, you need to repeat the link and call to action multiple times throughout your email.

For example:

Include a clickable headline.

Embed your call to action and link in the middle of the content.

Create a call to action button and place it at the end of the email.

TIP: The idea is to tell people to take action and give them the link to do so. Next, give them even more reasons to take action, and then repeat the call to action and link.

Next…

10. Reward People For Taking Quick Action

If you give people a chance to procrastinate, they will. If they leave your email without clicking, it’s unlikely they’ll come back. That’s why you need to create a sense of urgency. And one way to do that is by rewarding people for taking quick action.

For example…

Be one of the first 100 people to act now, and you’ll get a copy of “Online Business Made Easy” absolutely free! Click here to get yours now…

11. Write One-to-One

So many email marketers make the mistake of referring to their “subscribers” or their “list” in their emails. Don’t do this. You want each of your subscribers to feel like you’re writing to them one-on-one.

Here’s how:

Don’t make any references that suggest you’re writing to multiple people. For example, avoid words such as subscribers, list, readers, prospects, etc.

Know your audience. The more you know about them, the easier it is for you to create targeted content that makes them feel like you’re talking directly to them.

Use a conversational tone. Make your subscribers feel like they’re reading a personal email from a friend.

Next up…

12. Be Emotional And Personal

Here’s a simple truth: once someone “connects” with you and your email message, the more likely they are to take action. People do business with those that they know, like and trust. That’s why it’s important to evoke emotion and personality in your emails.

Here’s how:

Tell stories. Not only does a good story evoke emotion, it also engages readers and keeps them reading.

Empathize with readers. Let people know that you understand how they feel about the problem (if you really do understand!).

Get them to imagine the joy of the solution. If people can imagine how good they’ll feel if they solve their problem, they’re more likely to click your link. Tell how it changed your life.

13. Promise and Deliver Tremendous Value

Sad but true: your prospects are used to people over-promising and under-delivering. You can pleasantly surprise them (and bond them to you like glue, creating loyal customers) by delivering tremendous value.

This includes:

Sending them valuable freemiums that others in your niche are charging for.

Being sure each email you send is in-demand, valuable and high quality.

Sharing some of your best content with your subscribers.

Giving your subscribers things they can’t get anywhere else (such as exclusive deals, tools and content).

Next…

14. Use a Bullet List

A bulleted list of benefits gives you two awesome advantages:

It sets important content apart. In fact, many people are conditioned to looking at bulleted lists, as usually they contain important information and benefits.

Skimmers will take notice. This is a great way to draw a skimmer/scanner back into your content, lead them down to your call to action, and get more clicks.

15. Test, Track and Tweak

Don’t guess at what produces great results for you. Instead, test, track and tweak every major part of your email.

Now most people know to test subject lines, email openers, calls to action and offers. However, don’t forget to test the design of your email.

This includes:

The overall design or template you’re using, including the layout.

The design colors.

The graphics and their placement.

The call to action buttons (both the design and the text).

Most major email service providers have built tracking tools right into their platforms so you can easily split-test your emails.

Now let’s wrap things up…

You just discovered 15 effective ways to increase clicks across all your email campaigns. These proven methods work for me, they work for countless other successful marketers around the world, and I know they’ll work for you too. But don’t take my word for it – start implementing these tactics today to see for yourself!

Content Marketing, Website Traffic

Stop Trying To Be Awesome On YouTube!

I don’t know about you, but I have consumed a lot of information over the years on getting traffic from YouTube, and it LOOKS really hard.

There’s just so much you have to know, and so many technical skills you have to have, and all this equipment, and a great place to shoot videos, and on and on and on.

It’s enough to make your brain melt out of your ears from information overload!

I truly thought it would be hard until I just started actually DOING it.

Here’s the deal…

You don’t have to have a bunch of expensive equipment to get started.

All that stuff about lighting, big expensive cameras, a “cool” looking space to shoot your videos, and all that stuff is important, and your videos WILL be better, but when you’re just starting out all you need to do is pay attention to the light you’re in and use your cell phone to shoot the videos.

You can shoot great videos with a cell phone, and a cheap video editing app.

As time goes on, you will get the “cool video” stuff down, and that’s when you start upgrading to better equipment and software. You don’t have to have it ALL to get started though.

Here’s a few tips for getting started easily with your video creation…

If you’re at home you can shoot your videos in a well lit room. Just walk around doing a practice video until you find a spot that doesn’t throw shadows on you.

Or if you can find natural light by a window that’s even better. You’ll find that certain times of the day are better than others for good lighting. Test this at different times of the day.

Once you find a good spot and the right time of day to record in, you can use your cell phone and a tripod or “selfie stick” for it to hold it steady. Don’t be a “shaky” video creator. 🙂

That’s it… Just start there.

Now here is where your focus needs to be when you get started. These things are the MOST important parts of using YouTube for traffic…

1. Having a great looking channel that is optimized for your audience.

2. Knowing what videos your audience wants to view.

3. Knowing how to make sure your videos are optimized so that your audience finds them when searching on YouTube.

These are the things you need to focus on learning if you’re just getting started.

You don’t have to be AWESOME to get started, you just need to start learning and using the the three things I just listed. Those are the real keys to success with getting traffic from YouTube.

Once you’ve done 10-20 videos then you can start upping your video game. Invest in a few pieces of equipment, find a great video editing software, and start making your videos better.

Every time you do a video, or educate yourself about making better videos, you’re going to get better and better at it, but pay attention to the things that matter the most to get you started.

Simply put… Stop trying to be awesome on YouTube, for now. 🙂

Email Marketing

The Big List Of Email Template Resources

I talk a lot about email marketing. How powerful it is, how to use it, etc… But the biggest thing I preach is that you have to be constantly learning about it.

You need to know the fundamentals and then you need to keep learning new strategies and using them on your lists.

The best way to do this is to use other people’s email templates. I buy every single email template package I can get my hands on for this reason. It allows me to not only learn, but every time I go to write an email I go to my folder full of these templates, poke around, and before long one hits me and I’m off and using it.

I’ve created this post so I can give you an updated resource page of the best email templates out there. Some are just subject line templates, but most are full on email template packages that you can use for various things…

Sales emails, affiliate marketing emails, welcome sequences, and everything in between.

Take a look at the resources, grab what you need and come back here anytime you’re ready for some new email templates to power your email marketing.

Here we go…

My Email Templates – Of course I’ve got to kick this list off with my own personal email templates package. 🙂 This is a massive package giving you 13 different template sequences. See it at http://www.MyEmailTemplates.com

Email Game Plan – This is a killer little product. You get 12 different email campaigns that you can use to create your own email campaigns. And these aren’t just garbage thrown together. These are proven winning campaigns! See it at http://www.LizTomey.com/EmailGamePlan

1107 Subject Lines – Subject lines are curtail to getting people to open your emails. This is a MASSIVE subject line swipe file that I have used over and over and over again! See it at http://www.ThisKicksButt.com/1107EmailSubjectLines

IM Emails – Kevin Fahey is one of the biggest known marketers in the Internet Marketing industry and he has taken over 400 of his personal emails and put them in a cool little software that allows you to search through them, see open rates and lots of other information. Pick an email from this, use it as a template to create your own, and off you go! See it at http://www.LizTomey.com/IMEmails

DFY Monthly Emails – This is such a killer resource. Not only do you get email templates RIGHT NOW, but it’s updated each month with MORE email templates. This is for those of you in the Internet marketing/make money online niche only, but these are great email templates! See it at http://www.ThisKicksButt.com/DFYMonthlyEmails

Eagle Emails – Emails written by an actual email copywriter. What I really liked about this one is all the training it comes with. You learn how to use the emails, how to work with swipes and templates, etc. See it at http://www.ThisKicksButt.com/EagleEmails

Okay that’s it for now… As I find and buy more of these I’ll update this list and share the ones I like and that I think you can use here. Make sure you’re on my list so you can get updates about this post!

If you have recommendations for email templates you like PLEASE let me know about them. 🙂

Private Label Rights (PLR)

30 Day Themed PLR – Lizs PLR Profit Strategy

I LOVE LOVE LOVE when I can find PLR that takes a topic and breaks it down into a 30 day time period. There’s just so much you can do with these types of products.

First, let me show you what I’m talking about. Here’s a good example from Tiffany Lambert.

https://todayinplr.com/5BusinessBlueprintsVol1

This one is super awesome because you get 5 different reports with a 30-day action plan in each of them.

That’s 5 different products.

Then you have a PLR package that’s a little more than just the content, but also follows this “30 day” theme.

https://todayinplr.com/30DayBusinessPlanningBootcamp

This is a mega PLR package that not only includes content, but also a ton of marketing materials.

You could do A LOT with each of these!

Side Note: At the end of this tutorial, I’ll also link to other “30 day” themed PLR packages that I recommend.

So, what’s a lot?

Well, you could…

Disclaimer: Every single PLR package you buy has a license. You may or may not be able to use these ideas with the packages I’ve recommended here. Check the license before deciding on what you’ll do.

1. Take the content and create your own 30-day coaching program. If you used the first package you could use each of the reports as a guide to creating your own content. If you got the second package I recommended (the giant one) then you would just take the content and use it to create your coaching program.

2. Take parts of the content and create a 30-day email series and sprinkle your affiliate links in for related things. Build a squeeze page, use the content to create your emails, add in affiliate links where they make sense, load your emails into your autoresponder, and you’ve got machine/system that you promote and make money with.

3. Take parts of the content and create a 30 day series for your blog. Again you could monetize the content with your affiliate links and/or links to your own products and services. PLR IS AMAZING TO USE IN YOUR MARKETING TOO! So many people get hung up on using PLR to create products, but there’s way more ways to use it than that.

4. Create a membership site and use the PLR content to create monthly (or weekly or whatever schedule you want) content for your members. With all the amazing technology readily available to us all there’s no reason you can’t create a membership site. Take the PLR packages I’m recommending here and break them up into lessons that you give your members. This is a great way to create a monthly income!

5. Creating viral reports is an “old marketing” tactic, but one that still works if done well. You can take the PLR content from these products, create 30 day guides with your affiliate links (and don’t forget to build your list too, so include your squeeze page link) in them and create free reports that you can allow others to give away. Just include a page in your report that tells people they can give your report away too. I did this for YEARS and it’s a huge part of how my name became so well known.

6. You could also use this content and create bonus products for people who buy your products or bonus products for people who buy through your affiliate links. Bonus products can be that “thing” that REALLY gets people to buy through YOU. Especially as an affiliate marketer.

And the list of methods you could use with this kind of content go on and on, but 30 day (or any number of days… 5, 10, 15, 20, etc.) themed content is great because people feel like there is an end in site and that they’ll accomplish something. That in and of itself is a huge selling point or enticement to grab your free offer (if you’re using it for list building or content marketing).

If I see PLR content in a niche that I’m in and it is made so I can use it in an X amount of days way, I ALWAYS grab it because people love this stuff.

So, with all of this said, here are more resources for 30-day themed content that you can pick up.

30 Day SEO Blueprint With PLR – This is a 12+ page report that shows how SEO works and how it can be mastered in just 30 days! https://todayinplr.com/30DaySEOBlueprint

30-Day Action Plan PLR Reports Volume 1 – This is Volume 1 of a bundle of 5 reports. Each report walks you through the process of building a career as an Internet Marketer. You’ll find one broad overview report, plus four others on specific business models, including affiliate marketing, info product development, PLR launches and service providing.
https://todayinplr.com/5BusinessBlueprintsVol1

30-Day Action Plan PLR Reports Volume 2 – This is Volume 2 of a bundle of 5 reports. Each report helps you learn about the action steps you need to take, and in what order. You’ll learn what to do for niche research, building a blog, coming up with blog content ideas, writing product reviews, and building a list. https://todayinplr.com/5BusinessBlueprintsVol2

30-Day Action Plan PLR Reports Volume 3 – This is Volume 3 of a bundle of 5 reports. Each report helps you learn about the action steps you need to take, and in what order. You’ll learn what to do on these topics: social networking, website traffic, multi media creation and usage, self-publishing, and content marketing https://todayinplr.com/5BusinessBlueprintsVol3

Note: The above 4 recommendations are all inside of Tiffany Lambert’s Total PLR Membership deal where you get almost ALL of her PLR products for a one-time fee. It’s worth the price for all you get, but I wanted to mention that ALL of the above are inside your Total PLR Membership with her which you can access at https://www.TodayInPLR.com/TotalTiffPLRAccess

30 Day Business Planning Bootcamp – This PLR package is from the gal’s over at Coach Glue and there PLR is always amazing and has many other components to it. This is a massive package and I can’t recommend it enough. While it’s more expensive than most, it comes with more components than most people put in their packages AND because of the price less people buy it. Giving you a competitive edge. 😊
https://todayinplr.com/30DayBusinessPlanningBootcamp

Okay, that’s a wrap for this tutorial. When you see this kind of “themed” PLR content and it’s in YOUR niche, then grab it! I’ll update the resources I’ve mentioned here as I find more. Leave your comments and questions if you have any, below…
